Our first route starts and ends in the quaint village of Volax, taking you through Falatados, Vidalados/Kathlikaros, and back, over approximately 4 hours. This route is a cultural tour, spotlighting the local folklore and history, including the dramatic legend of a local miracle against Saracens. You’ll enjoy a traditional “Maranda” meal, featuring local delicacies like Fhassi, Tinian cheese, and louza, paired with house wine or raki. This experience is designed to immerse you fully in the rural life of Tinos.

**Route 2: A Day with the Locals in Potamia**

Experience life as a local in the eastern village of Potamia, where the pace slows and tradition reigns. This 4-hour journey begins with a warm welcome of Greek coffee and handmade sweets, followed by a guided tour of significant sites like Panagia Karmelitana and Peristerionas. Witness traditional baking, enjoy unexpected local mezes, and interact with the villagers, creating a rich, authentic experience of daily life in Tinos.

The route through Kato Meria is a journey through time and tradition. Starting with a walk through ancient rural roads, participants will learn about sustainable practices of the past and explore abandoned settlements and hidden monks’ cells. The tour includes a visit to the village of Aetofolia to explore the island’s ceramic traditions, a stop at Karkados to admire intricate marble art, and ends with a traditional dinner at the “Kounaria” tavern, celebrating local craftsmanship and gastronomy.

For each of these routes, participants should come prepared with warm clothing, closed hiking shoes, sunglasses, and water. Long pants are recommended, and any health issues or allergies should be communicated to the organizers beforehand to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
